THE DIGITAL DARKROOM Your only half a photographer if all you can do is shoot the photos. Ansel Adams taught all of us true photographic artist must learn to master the (digital) darkroom. Photoshop has pretty much become the standard for the digital darkroom. Let us teach you the foundational principles of manipulating and adjusting your photo files. We will teach you the basics of how to use non-destructive Photoshop methods. After this 2-3 hour PhotoBites class, you will be able make your photos sing.
SUBJECTS COVERED

  • The proper preference settings .
  • All the various menu tools and what they do.
  • Sharpening, color, contrast and saturation techniques.
  • Metadata and copyrighting .
  • Adjusting color balance and making B&W. 

 PUSHING THE LIMITS
Come ready to learn how to safely and porperly adjust your images. Your instructor will show you how to use photoshop to make your photos the best they can be!
 
EXPECTATIONS 
The meeting location for this class will vary from class to class here in Austin, but we will always start at 2 PM on Saturdays and 7 PM on weekday evenings depending on the session you sign up for. The goal is always to be through with-in 2.5 hours, but we will always stay for another 30 minutes to answer questions. Be sure to bring your laptop with CS5 loaded so you can follow along with the instruction with your own photos. You also should bring a pen and pad to write down all the imortant info shared.  WHAT YOU NEED
Besides a true desire to learn, you will need one laptop computer with Photoshop CS5 loaded and a few of your favorite photos to work on.
