SEEING THE LIGHT

YOU TIRED OF ALMOST GETTING THE SHOT? You've taken classes before and you know how to shoot on manual. You actually are feeling a lot better technically.  It's the creative look of your photos that are lacking. You really want your photos to have that pop and punch you see in so many other photos! It sounds like you need a fresh drink of creative Koolaid! Perhaps you have decided to seek the help of a professional and time and money keep you from taking Photographers Rehab. Well we will show you how to ditch that nerds hat with the prop on top and put on that master of creative hat, the french painters beret:) Photo Newbies 101 was all about the tech side of shooting your camera on manual. Photo newbies 102 is all about the basic key approaches to seeing creative compositions. This workshop will advance your creative learning process by weeks if not months! FYI, only four students will be accepted for this workshop.

SUBJECTS COVERED

  • Compositions-rule of thirds, using lines and shapes
  • Creative Color Balances uses.
  • Perspectives and design .
  • How to use negative space and watching out for fusion.
  • Learn the poetry of light, broken light and angles of light.

CREATIVE FREEEEEEEEDDDDDOOOOOOMMMMMMMM

Come ready to see in creative new ways. We will meet on Saturday at 10 a.m. and open the workshop with a strong creative cup of coffee/ presentation. This will not be your typical workshop that is actually a brag session for some photographer that loves himself so much. A better word for this workshop might be for the guys a "BOOT CAMP" or for some ladies a "TOTAL MAKEOVER":) After some needed classroom instruction, instructor and students will all head out together for some hands on demo shooting of what was taught in the classroom. Once your head has been filled with an ocean of creative juices, you will be pushed in to learn new creative photographic strokes. "Huhhh, What's he talkin about?" You each will then be sent out to shoot a specific assignment, later to be critiqued very professionally...NO SMACKDOWNS! This is the power of this workshop, the immediate constuctive feedback on your work. The price of success is repetition.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Besides a true desire to learn, you will need one digital SLR, Lenses,  your cameras manual and a laptop with photoshop or lightroom installed (preferably Photoshop). You might also want to bring a pen and pad just in case your instuctor says something worth writing down.
